Kaja Kallas

Kaja Kallas has been an Estonian MEP and a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) since 2014. She was co-rapporteur for the report “Towards a Digital Single Market Act”. She has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 1999, specialized in European and Estonian competition law. Kallas was elected to the Estonian Parliament in 2011, where she chaired the Economic Affairs Committee until 2014, when she was elected to the European Parliament. Until 2011, when she was elected to the Estonian Parliament, Kallas worked as a partner in two leading law firms in Estonia, Tark & Co and Luiga Mody Hääl Borenius.
